"Video Call" is a multi-channel video installation that immerses the viewer in a dark room, crossed by black-and-white images with a dense, analogue grain. A veiled, cloaked figure stares out from the screen like a spectral presence listening; beside it, a classical statue-like body appears corroded by dark marks, as if scarred or grafted. On another wall, a shape of smoke slowly condenses, while a rhombus-shaped geometric motif pulses like a signal, a contact opening and closing. The title "Video Call" suggests a call without a certain answer, an attempt at communication across bodies, eras and materials. Quercianera turns video into a ritual of apparition, where light withholds more than it reveals
