GILDA MAUTONE/ADE QUERCIANERA/JOHANNES LEIDENBERGER
"Untitled#1" brings together three languages distant in material but united by a shared exploration of form and threshold. Ade Quercianera's sculptures, in black and white plaster on rough cardboard pedestals, are fragments suspended between the modelled and the found, almost casts of an absent body. Gilda Mautone instead brings the exuberance of textile craft: a crocheted creature in acid colours, wrapped in flowing fabric, stands out against a pop background of hearts and stars, like a carnival icon. Johannes Leidenberger closes the dialogue with a black metal structure, airy and unstable, made of rods and blades that seem caught mid-mechanical-gesture.
