The first instalment of the collective series states its theme from the subtitle itself: sculpture, addressed by three practices with radically different approaches and materials, all drawn from the artists' most recent production. Ade Quercianera presents two small heads in acrylic and paper, one black and glossy, the other white and roughly hewn, resting on tall, bandaged plinths like artefacts awaiting restoration — objects that condense, in a small space, the same pull toward a figure suspended between appearance and erasure. Gilda Mautone brings a totemic sculpture built through textile accumulation: a head dense with coloured fringes and tassels emerging from a drape of fluorescent yellow and orange velvet, set against a patchwork backdrop of hearts and stars — a language at once pop and ceremonial, between idol and stage costume. Johannes Leidenberger closes with "Carnivoren," an installation of black and grey metal elements mounted on photographic-studio tripods, their sharp, angular forms — almost like fangs or mechanical wings — evoking a predatory aggression underscored by the title itself. Three sculptures profoundly different in scale, material and emotional temperature, which together convey the breadth of what can still be called sculpture today
