GEOMETRIES FROM THE FUTURE

Johannes Leidenberger is very focused in his choice of material and formal language. His sculptures show abstract, geometric objects made of steel or aluminum and capture reflections on systemic interactions between things and between people. Leidenberger remarks: "With my objects I expand the cosmos by subsystems which, following its own rules, address problems of my concern." The works scrutinize the fragility of complex connections by pairing opposites such as exclusion/integration or chaos/stability. The suggestion of movement by the static objects alludes to ever-changing spiritual and material relations. An often technical impression refers to man as an active creator and separates him from the object at the same time
