On one hand, Gilda Mautone’s work centers on the sign and narrative construction: her large-scale pieces portray eccentric characters, enigmatic couples, and striking portraits framed by intricate decorative patterns, lush flora, and pop references, turning the canvas into a dense visual matrix of identity. On the other hand, Ade Quercianera examines the threshold through color field and atmospheric painting: large canvases bathed in deep bordeaux, earth tones, and horizontal luminescent sweeps expand the surrounding room, dissolving imagery into pure chromatic vibration. The exhibition unfolds as a dual space — two conceptual absides — where Mautone’s graphic sign meets Quercianera’s intangible, contemplative threshold
