ADE QUERCIANERA
"XXX" presents an acrylic painting on paper alongside a series of small sculptures in paper and acrylic, united by the same palette of bright green and red. In the painting, plant-like and human bodies merge in an almost camouflaged tangle, where scratched, incised lines emerge above flat fields of colour like luminous scars on the surface. The sculptures, all white, resemble fossil fragments or casts of heads and faces, reduced to essential, raw forms, almost archetypes carved out of matter. The contrast between the chromatic explosion of the painting and the monochrome silence of the sculptures creates a tension between visibility and erosion, between what is shown in vivid colour and what is worn down to the bone. "XXX", in its repeated mark, evokes a sign of cancellation or secrecy, a code that conceals more than it reveals
