UNTITLED#7
GILDA MAUTONE/ADE QUERCIANERA/YOUNGHUN KIM
"UNTITLED#7" weaves together mythical figuration, contemporary visual culture, and primordial abstraction through the works of Gilda Mautone, Ade Quercianera, and Younghun Kim. Ade Quercianera’s painting moves through dark, earthy green and deep red tones, where organic, totemic, or embryonic shapes emerge from the surface as non-human symbolic matrices. Counterbalancing this inquiry is Gilda Mautone’s figurative universe: marker drawings packed with intricate details reveal eccentric characters, urban subculture icons, and fashion references, turning paper into a dense and biting visual archive. Younghun Kim completes the exhibition circuit with large acrylic canvases featuring winged figures, green lions, and cosmic deer set against saturated, dreamlike backdrops that fuse ancestral folklore with a Pop aesthetic. Moving between primordial forms, street codes, and symbolic narratives, the exhibition unfolds as a geography of heterogeneous visions exploring the metamorphosis of identity and contemporary myth
