"GHOSTS" explores the viscous persistence of memory and the intangible presences that inhabit the pictorial space. Through works characterized by a restrained, somber palette — dominated by dark emerald greens, iron oxides, deep bordeaux, and heavy blacks —, Ade Quercianera paints spectral, enigmatic objects alongside raw anthropomorphic busts that seem to re-emerge from the dark. Broad, gestural, and heavily textured brushstrokes build layers of pigment where physical objects dissolve into appearances. Synthetic forms, reminiscent of harnesses or suspended structures, coexist with sculpted profiles and raw heads, turning the canvas into a threshold between the visible and its aftermath.
