PLATONIC SOLID
JOHANNES LEIDENBERGER
"Platonic Solid" explores the construction of complex form from simple, repeated elements. Thin metal slats overlap in layered wall compositions, creating irregular profiles that recall clouds or waves frozen in time. Alongside these, a vertical sculpture rises like a totemic column, made of aligned, staggered bars fusing into a single body that is both dark and luminous. The title evokes the Platonic solids, the pure geometric forms that, according to ancient philosophy, constitute the hidden structure of matter. Leidenberger seems to suggest that behind every composition, however irregular, an essential order lies concealed. The exhibition is a reflection on the relationship between multiplicity and unity, fragment and system
